Cape
Coast, the capital of the Central Region, is just about
a 2-hour drive west of Accra. The region is famous for its
ancient forts and castles, beautiful coconut palm shaded
beaches and for a peculiar elegance of attitude which is
recorded and celebrated in literature. Apart from Cape Coast,
Elmina is the next well-known destination for tourists.
